Wendy Kay Usher "Our Angel" 1952 ~ 2005

Wendy Kay Usher passed away January 29, 2005 surrounded by her family in Salt Lake City, Utah. Wendy was born November 15, 1952 in Salt Lake City, Utah to Max A. and Dora Elise Johnson Barnett. After graduating from Granite High School, she married her true love, Mike Usher, on November 4, 1971.

They were later sealed in the Salt Lake Temple. She was an angel to her family and friends alike. She inspired everyone whose life she touched, with her courage and love of our Savior. Those who sought to comfort her were instead uplifted and comforted by her unwavering faith, love of life and family, and by her ability to endure to the end. She will be deeply missed by all those who were touched by her beautiful spirit. Her many acts of service to others will be long remembered and appreciated.

Survived by her best friend and husband Mike Usher, son Matthew (Emily) Usher, daughters Melissa Usher and Alisa Usher, grandson Matthew Usher, father Max Barnett, mother Elise Barnett, brothers Paul (Kathy) Barnett, Gary (Pam) Barnett and Brian (Jayne) Barnett, and sisters Peggy Barnett and Brenda (Randy) Kirby. Family expresses their gratitude to the many doctors and medical staff who provided her with loving care; and to her many friends that provided support.

Funeral services will be held Wednesday, February 2, 2005 at 1:00 p.m. at the Winder 12th Ward, 4350 South 1100 East, Salt Lake City Utah. Friends and family may call Tuesday, February 1, 2005 from 6-8 p.m. at Jenkins-Soffe Mortuary, 4760 So. State St., Murray, UT and one hour prior to services at the church. Interment Sunset Gardens, 10600 S. 1700 E., SLC, UT. In lieu of flowers please make contributions in Wendy's name to Hunstman Cancer Institute, 2000 Circle Of Hope Dr., SLC, UT 84112.
